I plan to put a 4l60e in it with a 5.3 ls motor. Put a new cab on it paint job and that should be it

I see you put all of your "Plans" in one sentence. Remember that, when down the road, you look back, and say, Wow, it all seemed so simple. Only a few things.
These old dudes seem to take on a life of their own when we start adding "Well, while I am there I might as well",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
very difficult to stay on task and not let them snowball.
I am in the middle of one now paint the cab inside and out, and "not restoring the entire interior".
We'll see, it's not over yet.
