EGR Bleed Solenoid

This is my EGR sol and it is cracked and broken. It has two vaccum ports and an electrical connection. I was wondering what the EGR bleed sol does and would it be okay to completely take it out or should I replace it?

Re: EGR Bleed Solenoid

Did anyone ever reply to this? I'm in the middle of my G20 rebuild and mine browke last night while trying to remove a vacuum line. Mine is identical to yours..I have not found a replacement for it, so I will be headed to the junk yard.

Can I ask what the wire colors are for the connector?
