Dana 44 closed knucle preload

I doing the front end. New bearings and stuff on a Dana 44 8 bolt closed knuckle 68 1/2 ton. I'm at 4 ft lbs turning resistance with a torque wrench on the one of the trunnion bolts. Dana manual says 5-10 ft pounds...
I've done Dana closed knuckle Jeeps at 3 foot pounds and never had a death wobble or shimmy...
What do you say? Thanks
