Brake master cylinder
I am close to removing my cab on a 1982 k20 Chevy, I still need to remove the master cylinder from the firewall, Can anyone give me some guidance. Thanks

Power brakes or manual brakes?
Manual - there should be two nuts, one on either side of the m/c. Remove those and slip the M/C off the studs. Power - you can do the same thing and slip the m/c off the booster. You can even support the m/c with a fabricated slaving fixture and leave the brake lines attached. That's how it was done in the assembly plant. If you want to remove the booster there are six attachments holding it on (4 below and two above the pedal rod). K
