Truck dies in braking right hand turns...
This strange condition started last night as I was almost out of gas and turned into the gas station...truck died. Started right back up and filled up with gas.
Now this morning the truck died 3 times on me over the course of an hour. All braking, slightly downhill, right hand turns. Just cut out. Luckily all places I could throw it in neutral, restart and keep going. I'm assuming it's fuel related but thought I would ask the group and see if this has happened to someone before. Something in the carb or fuel filter? The only thing I've done recently was change out the wiper motor on Sunday night. Thoughts? Thanks.

Fuel might have nothing to do with it. you removed the ignition switch when you changed your wiper motor, check the wiring connection on the ign. switch. might not be plugged in all the way..

Re: Truck dies in braking right hand turns...
Unless it's better with a full tank than when low, I wouldn't assume fuel either. Now I've had an oil pump pickup fall off or something so that I got the oil light in turns, but the fuel pickup is easy to rule out as I said.
Per hamjet, I'd get it running then go under the dash, grab the harnesses, and move them around with authority (but not hard enough to hurt a working system) and see if anything happens.

True, might have jiggled something in the wiring wrestling with that damn wiper motor.
Thanks fellas. No problems driving it around this afternoon.

Sometimes if the float in your carb is either going bad or out of adjustment you can get that symptom. Carter (Edelbrock) carbs are especially bad about this; you never see them on rock crawlers for instance.
When the Carter AFB in my 1966 gto was going bad it died on left turns, swapping to a Holley 750 vac secondary carb solved that problem.

Re: Truck dies in braking right hand turns...
I'll add to Jon's idea in that if the float level is too low it could slosh in corners and uncover the jets, causing them to suck air and the engine to die.
I think Q-Jets are especially sensitive to fuel-level adjustments. The spec from one car to another (nova vs impala for example) can be an 1/8th of an inch different.

Re: Truck dies in braking right hand turns...
Well I do have an Edelbrock on my 350. I'll look into that as well.
Didn't find any loose wires or connections so that would be my next step. Also didn't have the problem on the way to work this morning or driving last night so perhaps it has resolved itself.
