how much longer is the 73-91 k30 crew cab compared to a 73-91 suburban
Just curious isnt it like a foot longer?

The wheelbase on a suburban is 129.5". The crew cab's wheelbase is 164.5". So the difference in just wheelbase is 2'11". The suburban does have a little more overhang than the crew cab though. I'm not sure of the overall lengh difference though.

According to this site (http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/sub...eatures-specs/), a 1990 Suburban's overall length (i.e. bumper-to-bumper) is 18' 3.1", so a little more than 2 feet shorter than a crew cab with 8' box.

Hey gang sorry so late n this but I just got Big Red home Saturday and just remembered this thread about 30 minutes ago.
Anyways...... 1990 V2500 Suburban Stock Bumpers (for now) measures out at 18 ft. 4in. add 4 inches for the trailer ball/mount. 1987 R3500 C/C/ DUALLY measures out at 20 ft. 8 in.

The GM order book lists a crew at 244 inches without rear bumper
The sub is 218 inches with standard bumpers. |
