WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
I am in need of a set of bumper brackets for a 1972 k20 fleetside long bed with the chrome rear bumper. Dont need to be pretty just have to be straight and not bent. i will sandblast and powdercoat them reguardless. let me know what you have and what you want. prefer GM parts and not aftermarket. thanks

Re: WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
Bump, iI still need these. I bought a set from a member here and was told they were correct for a 4x4 as I didn't know what they were supposed to look like. My truck had an aftermarket bumper when iI bought it. Anyhow the set iI was sold doesn't fit. Holes are much too close together to bolt up to my frame. So iI believe i got a set of 2wd brackets... I realized that after sandblasting and powder coating them.... Contacted the member with no response, I was willing to send the powder coated ones back in exchange for a correct 4x4 set.
So i still need a 4x4 set. Will trade for my semi gloss black powder coated 2wd brackets or buy outright. Please let me know!

Re: WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
Unless you got a set for a shortbed 4x4 leaf spring truck? They rest are the same 2wd or 4wd.

Re: WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
The holes on my frame are 7" apart. The furthest holes on the brackets iI have are 5". My truck is a 72 k20 4x4 long bed. Not sure what brackets ive got, but they are not correct.

Re: WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
This is strange. My brackets are those exact ones from classic bowties. So they should be correct for my truck? But it looks like the swb brackets are really what I need
Does anyone have a picture of the frame holes from a lwb k20? Maybe one of mine had been welded shut? Here is my truck. A 1972 lwb 3/4 4x4. Original frame that matches cab vin no.

Hmm it is hard to tell from there. Did you use the mounts purchased in that order thread? They seem to be the same as mine. Would you happen to know the bolt spacing of your brackets?

Re: WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
Those brackets shipped to NM and I won't see them until August. I hope they fit! Don't have the ability to measure those on my K20 tonight, sorry.

Re: WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
does this help?: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...81&postcount=4
EDIT: Probably not as it's a SWB but does show the angle needed

Re: WTB: Fleetside 4x4 Rear bumper brackets
Im almost certain I need the style in the lower right of this picture. And iI want to say I'm almost certain you will too. There is no way the ones I have already are supposed to fit my truck.
I have the same brackets as the green truck you linked. But my frAMEe looks completely different
