Outside mirrors color

Ok, I need a little help with my outside mirrors. I am not sure what they are called but they are the ones that attach at two points and are about 10-12" long. Kind of like trailer mirrors. They were originally polished aluminum but are in really rough shape. I have tried to sand with 1000 grit and polish but it really does not do any good. They still look like crap. I was thinking of painting them along with the mounting frames.

The truck is painted British Racing Green and was wanting some suggestions on what color would go with it. I have painted the grill black because of the same reasons. Too far gone. As I live in Texas I really dont like the idea of black on the mirrors.

I am adding a picture of the truck as far as I have completed it so far.

Still have some sanding and buffing to do......

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Ron

Re: Outside mirrors color

Yes, your right 1963 that is what they are. I think they are junior ones.

I thought about painting them the same color as the truck but still have not pulled the trigger. Maybe black to match the grill? Too many decisions........lol.

I have a similarly painted truck...My mirror brackets and housings were white and I am repainting them that color as it contrasts well with the black but I have a white roof and rims as well so it works for me...

Re: Outside mirrors color

Based on your chrome accents, I would say either chrome or a nice silver color.
