Will 73 spindles fit a 72?
Will a set of 73 Spindles fit a 72 GMC that already has disc brakes? I heard that there is a diffrence in the lower ball joint is this true? Can I change the ball joints and make them work? Thanks, you guys are kewl!!!

Change the upper ball joint and the outer tie rod end to 73 and up and they work just fine.

You also need a Tie Rod adjusting sleve CPP sell's it. The outer tie rod for a 73 is bigger than the 72 inner. Other than that it will work awesome. I did it. Also you can use 73-87 flex lines too. Oh and you use a 67-70 outer tie rod on the inner. No that's not a TyPO. I am serious.
Any other questions just ask.

ADD A QUESTION?
73-87 are they all the same? I have spindles, calipers, and everything off a 78. Would it all fit if I used the newer upper & lower ball joints, and just change the outer tie rod ends?
My truck is a 1969 w/drums. thanks |

My truck is a 70 and I used the spindles and calipers Etc.. off a 78 just change out the upper and lower ball joint. I used the tie rods and centerlink off of the 78 it fits on the stering box perfectly. Remember to install a proportioning valve I used one off a 71 or 72.
