Dash Question

Does anyone know if I could use a dash pad from an '81-'87 K10 in my '75 K10 without any modification? The previous owner changed to the newer door panels and since I need to replace the dash pad I thought maybe I'd get the newer style as well if it fits without any modifications.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Dash Question

Will the 75 even have a dash VIN tag? I thought they started in like 78 or so.

The dashboard mounts up fine, except for the left hold-down clip as 2 Far Gone mentioned already.

BUT... The gauge cluster and bezel mount differently, also. I know that using a newer bezel with the older dashpad looks terrible, it leaves and unsightly gap. In mounts up and functions okay, it's just ugly.

I believe the direction you are planning, using the newer dash and older bezel might look okay, but I can't tell your for certain because I've never tried that combination.
