Leaf spring question

I have a 53 3/4 ton 3600 that has "helper" leafs on top of the normal ride leaf springs(in the rear). The helper spring only comes into play when the truck is loaded heavily. My question is, are the normal riding springs the same as the springs for a 3100? Because I can't find a vendor that shows a set-up with these helper springs on top.

No they are not the same, Go to a spring shop they can get you what you need

Triangle Spring is one of the largest manufacturers but they usually sell to spring shops. They might be willing to give an average Joe an account to use the web lookup. http://websst.triangleusa.com/

I use the local spring shop for most of my spring work. Seems to work out best.

The "helper" springs were an add on a lot of the time. Unless the dealer ordered them when the trucks were ordered from the factory the were dealer installed.

Your local spring shop can either rebuild your springs, make you a new set of springs or order a set of springs from their supplier. Or you can go direct through Eaton Detroit.

Another option may be calling Triangle spring and asking who their vendor is in your area. Tell them what you need and where you are and ask if they can build a set and what retail vendor in your area you should order them from. If by chance they give you a warehouse that doesn't sell retail ask the warehouse what retail vendor they deal with in your area. If there is no vendor in your area they may offer to sell direct but expect to pay full list price.
