Switcheroo
I've seen an early '60s 3/4T long bed fleet side truck sitting at a shop locally for many weeks. I like those year's body style (looks like a '64), but want a step side, not a fleet side. I'm going to stop by sometime soon and ask what the guy wants for it. But, as I said, I don't want a fleet side (already have the '70, which ain't gonna get modified that way- the wife would knife me, j/k). Before I go there, what is the chance that I can find a step side bed for it?
TIA, Steve

Re: Switcheroo
Just a FYI, the stepside fenders are the same from 2nd design '55 thru '66.

Re: Switcheroo
Stepside beds are pretty common to find in the short beds. All the components are reproduced through Mar-K also.
Long bedsides can be a little harder to find but they are out there. The bedsides, steps and strips are long bed only, rest of the parts are interchangeable.

Re: Switcheroo
The step fender's where Not exactly the same from 55-66. The 50's fenders where more square sided then the 60's. Though I'd bet not even any of us would ever notice the difference unless it was pointed out. lol Depends....a long bed stepper is more than likely a little harder to find than the short bed. But they are out there.
