Please direct me toward threads that cover raising our steering boxes
Hi guys, I have been looking through threads looking for info on raising the steering, The info Ive found is a little vague, Ive seen some guys shorten the steering shaft also for some reason>>?
Do you need to add U joints if you raise the box? Do you still need to notch the upper control arm? Anyway if someone could even just suggest a build thread Id be glad to go look through it, Thanks Andy

I don't understand? Why do you want to raise the gearbox? They shorten the shaft when going from manual to power steering and CaptainFab sells an adapter to mount the modern gearbox which moves it up slightly but that's all.

Re: Please direct me toward threads that cover raising our steering boxes
Ok. Thanks for the info on shortening. I need to raise my steering box so my upper control arm doesn't hit it when I'm aired down. I should have mentioned i sectioned my cm. 1.5. And added bags The box is raised to correct geometry and for clearance.
I just need more info on it. thanks.
