I used to run a framing crew a hundred years ago. I would get all spun up if one of the guys did something stupid or cut a big beam wrong. One day an old carpenter we had that did mostly pick up work, stairs, decks, etc. told me some sage advice. He said
  1. "A MISTAKE IS ONLY A MISTAKE IF YOU LEAVE IT".
Maybe it was not the most productive day, or have to buy another beam, but don't let it give you a heart attack.
That was about 30 years ago, and I still remember and remind myself as needed.
Take my Homer build now. I am doing some stuff that I may re-do. I don't want to get so hung up on trying to make it perfect that at the end of the day I get nothing done.
