Re: 1970 C10 2WD Can it be converted to 4X4?
Putting the cab on a newer frame isn't exactly the same thing as "converting 2wd to 4wd"

Putting the body on a newer frame is a whole new can of worms.

Re: 1970 C10 2WD Can it be converted to 4X4?
One time when I was back in Michigan for work, I spotted a mid-1960s Chevy(GMC?) 3/4 ton 4wd pickup for sale. For a moment I thought about the possibility of buying it and driving it home.
Then I realized that it was on a newer frame/axles (73+ ?). I suppose there's nothing wrong with that intrinsically but they wanted something like $7500 for it which made no sense at all for my purposes. I love the 60-66 pickups but a good original 1973-80 would be as good or better for usefulness. I guess some people just want something to drive around town on weekends and show off.

I don't know about blazers, but longbed 67-72 chevys have a 127" wheelbase, and 73-up have a 135" wheelbase. That makes for quite a bit of stretching the body or shrinking the frame. It can be done, but it adds complexity
