The FYI in the electrical section would not allow me to open...Can someone post this or a link explaining the procedure? I'm doing a conversion on a 72 C-10 SBC to BBC, left side to right side single wire 100 amp conversion...Thanks, ~Ghostrider~ aka, "MY-KILL"

Why are you doing a singe wire install? Four wire alternators are much better and will charge at low rpms (due to exciter wire).

Alternator came with the big block, it only has a one wire terminal, and because this is a "high rpm install"...

1 wire alternator is 1 big hot wire to battery +. What else do you need?

First off the battery gauge won't work, you may still get flickering lights at idle

It will only sense the state of charge of the battery and will keep the battery charged but it may not deliver enough amps for electric cooling fans or other high draw loads. This can create some substantial voltage drops and result in less than adequate current for the truck system. Take some time and read the link.
