Thinking Of Replacing K20 w/ K5 Thoughts?
I have a sharp little k20 daily driver that I'm thinking about replacing with a k5 i could use the extra seats. I buy and sale a lot of 67-72 C10s but was wondering what to look for in the k5s? How hard is it to find a full convertible and how much more expensive are they? Looking in the $4000 range for a decent solid driver not a show girl. I'll post a few pics of the k20.

The 73-75 K5's aren't rare but it'll be more difficult to find one as nice as your K20 for $4000. A nice looking, good running, "driver" full vert will usually be a few grand higher than that.

I think it's a good move if you don't need carrying capacity but to sensibly put children in the rear seats you'll need a solid roll bar fitted.

Keep an eye out for rust behind the front seats where the tub steps up

Thanks I already miss the k20... sold my harley and k20 and purchased a 1972 Cheyenne Super and A 1994 Full Size Blazer... although I'd trade it for a 1973-1979 K5 if I could ever get that lucky

I paid $4k for mine (74 2wd K5) and while the frame looked good after starting to work on it we found that the frame was wrecked and there is some really "creative" body work done.
They are out there.. Here is one for $2800 here in Cali http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/5156418568.html |
