That looks like a big block shroud to me.

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
I pulled it off of a '72 Suburban with a 400 in it. Might someone have put the wrong one it?

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
Was the engine there or are you going off a fender emblem that reads 400? The 400 fender emblem were used on the 402 big block trucks. As far as I know they never installed a 400 small block in a 1967-1972 truck from the factory. I would say it had a 402 big block in the Suburban originally.

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
Do you have a 3 core or 4 core radiator? I believe they are different. I need to check the condition and remove it from the truck but I have a 4 core small block with a/c shroud on a truck I just brought home this week.

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
1968k20 that looks like a big block shroud so won't work for my intended fan setup.
Todd68Chevy, I will have to look to be sure. Is there a difference in the shroud between a 3 core or 4 core? I'm interested, let me know when you get it out. |

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
This is a small block with a/c and 4 core radiator. in good over all shape but is broken out at the left upper mounting tab. It was fastened in good but broken. $30 plus shipping if interested. Might work on a 3 core radiator but not sure. Last picture is showing the truck it came from and the size of the 4 core radiator. Thanks

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
Hey Todd I checked and have a 4 core radiator. Is the mounting hardware in decent shape? Just to confirm does the shroud have the 19" fan opening? If so I will take it shipped to 29907.
Also how much for the radiator brackets and retainers? |

Fan shroud does have right at a 19" opening. Let me look for another box and see if I can get the shipping price down because the best I am showing is thru UPS and it is $45.26 for the shipping. I guess I have not shipped any larger boxes lately but they must have raised the prices. I will see what I can do.

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
Curious of the shape that big block shroud is. Behind the dirt looks real nice. I may be interested. The one I have is nice, but it's missing the mold, located very top center.
Incidentally, if it's OEM as it appears, there should be a part number (e.g. 3924932).

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
Sounds good I'll take those too. Tell you what, do me a favor and check shipping at www.shipnex.com (i.e. Worldwide Express). I have been using them for the last year or so for bigger, bulkier items like wheels, guitars, etc and the prices are usually less than FedEx or UPS, sometimes by half. But best of all, they actually subcontract through UPS so you can schedule a pickup with UPS or drop off at a retail store. Works great!

Re: WTB small block AC radiator shroud
Sounds about right, I used those box measurements and rounded the weight up to 9lbs to show the same price shipped to me, or shipped to you.
I've been using them for about a year and they excel at shipping big and/or heavy items, usually for half the price of UPS. Just make sure to check the label when you print it off, sometimes it says UPS and others it says FedEx so you just need to drop the box off at the right location. |
