1970 Steering column in a 66'
Anyone know what modification are needed to mount a 1970 Automatic steering column in a 1966?

As it turns out, it really didn't take much to mount the later column. You can tack a couple of nuts in the tube at the dash mounting, use a couple of speed nuts, or even hose clamp it (between it and the lower clamp, the column shouldn't move around on you). Paired with the matching intermediate shaft, it's a simple swap.

Like racecougar mentioned, if you have the column and intermediate shaft it is easy. I used a HD clamp to hold mine in against the lower column and no issues in 6+ months of driving it.

Hey.....I've got a 1966 LB with a 70 Chevy Steering column....what a mess of wiring....someone tried to rewire it into the 1966 original harness......anyone got any charts to figure it all out.....want to update the wiring......

The wire colors match up with the 67=72. Between these I got everything working.
