High hump transmission hump?
Is there any differences in the transmission covers from 1960-1966?

Re: High hump transmission hump?
There is a high and low version. A bolt in and a weld in version.

Re: High hump transmission hump?
Correction low humps can be weld in or bolt in design. With high humps they will be bolt in. Some are for 2wd and some are for 4wd and will have an additional hole for the transfer case shift lever. Some of the large trucks had brake levers in them also.
Low hump, 2wd high, 4wd high - pics taken from various posts and members

Re: High hump transmission hump?
Why do some people still want a high hump even though they have an Automatic Transmission?

Re: High hump transmission hump?
Some people need the high hump with aftermarket drop members, engine conversions with larger automatic transmissions (4L80E, 6L80E for example) etc..

Re: High hump transmission hump?
other than the differences mentioned above, they will all bolt in 60-66 high hump, chevy, gmc.
so if your truck was a high hump and it is missing, you can source one from any 60-66 high hump truck. however if you want to put a high hump in a truck that was originally a bolt in low hump, you will have to change the fire wall section as well.

I'm going with a Th350 and plan to use the low hump. But maybe I'll hold on to my high hump just in case I need it in the future.
