correct radiator support pad/shroud
my 77 is a heavy half ton with factory air and 4 barrel 350.
The radiator was replaced with 32-2934 radiator (3 core) here http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=176 My problem now is the upper shroud that bolts to the radiator support and pads (part 15 or 16 and 9) here http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=177 do not fit correctly. The truck has what according to the shroud page is a shroud for a 454 (part 32-2850 item 5 on that page). What upper metal shroud to radiator support and pads should I need? part number 32-0970 was at least a half inch too narrow to fit the radiator correctly. |

Re: correct radiator support pad/shroud
I dont see the correct panel in the LMC catalog. The one you need will bolt below the top side of the core support.
Just out of curiosity why did you go with the LMC radiator? $300 is a little steep...I bought mine from Oreilly's for $140 and its the big block radiator.

This one should work. It will take the 4 core or 3 core pads and works with big block fan shrouds.

Re: correct radiator support pad/shroud
Ray, I am thinking he went from a 4 core radiator to the shorter 3 core so he would need the upper metal piece that angles down and the shorter radiator shroud. I could be wrong but that is the way I took it.

I actually did get it from a local parts store but found it matched the description in the LMC catalog. I have the one piece shroud already but it doesn't mount flush at the top. Situating itself about a half inch gap due to the top corners sticking out a bit by design

Re: correct radiator support pad/shroud
Your big block shroud will not work with that shorter radiator. You need a taller radiator or a shorter small block shroud. The shorter small block shrouds are readily available and I have several in stock.
