The writer of that article contacted me back in March about a few details, he apologizes about the word "pristine" in the online version, saying that is something an editor might have added in. He says the print version was out 3 weeks ago in TruckTrend magazine, but I haven't gotten out to look for a copy yet. The rig is Casa Grande #0706, formerly owned by one of our Chalet/Casa Grande forum members.

To the best of my ability to find so far, all '76 versions were painted essentially the same, with the variation being in the sides of the truck. The decal striping and logos, of course, differentiated the two makes. The Casa Grande in the magazine article was repainted some time back.
 For '77s, I can reasonably say there were 6 factory color combos:
