69' & 70 at work
I used my 70' C10 and my neighbor's 69 K20 to bring home 5,700 pounds of wood Pellets over the weekend.
My 70' had 1,200 pounds and his 69 took two trips with 2,000 Pounds each trip. I was hesitant to carry the full ton in the C10, so he hauled both of them. My house should be warm all winter, and the truck was tested for weight limits. How much weight have you carried in your C/K 10-20-30? Bill I hope the attachments work.

Very nice! I have what I consider to be a very nice original 1970 C30 Long Horn that I load up with fire wood every now and then. Its fun to sometimes use it for what it was made for.

My first thoughts when I saw the pics? Man I'm glad I didn't have to unlad those trucks. Jim

I'm not young, but I did lift all of them myself...

It ain't nothin' but work. I can't recall any weight figures, but I have always put whatever I needed to put in these trucks. They don't mind

Re: 69' & 70 at work
How about a little over a cord of semi-seasoned oak firewood plus the metal rack in a C-20.
I could push it all day, no problems. Figured the haul at about 4000 lbs. Plus the truck! |

That would be twice the truck's limit plus 1000 pounds right?

Re: 69' & 70 at work
I usually stop when my drop hitch is about an inch off the ground. one of the trips I had to cross some rail road tracks and my hitch caught a rail scared the hell out of me.

Re: 69' & 70 at work
My truck will be a "work truck" when finished also......
I love where you put the backup lights on the step bumper. I think maybe I should get a step bumper for mine also. |

His truck is the epitome of a Daily Work Truck! Literally runs it every day, and plows every winter.
