Question Can anyone from Vancouver to Salem Or help me install a gas tank?

I got a blazer tank a couple weeks back from a board member and now I need to install it. My problem is that I need to torch 1-2 crossmembers but I don't have a torch. Would anyone be willing to help with that? I'm able to do everything else, just don't have access to a torch. Oh yeah, I could bring your favorite beverage as well!

While I'm thinking about mods, I don't have a welder either and have a bunch of holes in my cab where different seats went in. I really want to get these welded up after I get the tank installed and the cab tank out. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price too...

Aren't the cross members riveted? Just grind 'em off. Sorry, I'm a little too far away to help after work. Scott

I had to go back to the radiator shop because they gave me back a Ford sending unit on the tank and the guy I dealt with was willing to cut it for me. They're giving me a great deal on a new sending unit as well. Later today I'm going to install my new tank!

Post some pics when you get it in there. I have one but have yet to install it yet since I believe that it will show below the bumper. I want to really drop the truck so may have to go with one of those nice custom units. PCKMUP had one of those beautiful new custom tanks in his shop but it cost more than my truck...I have a policy about such things...LOL!

I got started today and have a couple pics but ran into some minor snags. You know the kind--you start working on one thing, then see something else that needs to be fixed, then see something else that needs to be fixed, etc, etc. After 6 hours you haven't accomplished much on the original problem!
