Manual valve , TWO valve setup . ?s
So my truck is slammed with a 5.5/7.5 drop and I want to do air ride now for better ride quality. I only drive the truck a few thousand miles a summer.
I want to instal a manual valve set up . One valve for rear One valve for front Is that practical or should I run four valves ? I really like the simplicity of two. Thanks |

It can be done, but it would be better with 4. Running only 2 valves will transfer air from one side to the other when taking turns or bumps. Also, I run slightly higher pressure on my driver side to compensate for my weight in the truck and what I suspect is a little frame sag after 45 years.

Re: Manual valve , TWO valve setup . ?s
So how do the dual gauges work? How can two gauges monitor 4 valves?
Thanks |

Re: Manual valve , TWO valve setup . ?s
2 valves = 1 valve to fill all 4 bags 1 valve to dump all 4
4 valves = 2 valves to fill 4 bags 2 valves to dump all 4 8 valves = independent suspension (minus solid axle) Like another member mentioned, the air will transfer from side to side/front to back if they are sharing. You will also have to make sure the lines are identical or else each bag will have different pressures (read: height) and it would be rather hard to make them equal after that. |

Re: Manual valve , TWO valve setup . ?s
And one valve for 2 wheels can make the truck not sit level its better to run 4.

Re: Manual valve , TWO valve setup . ?s
one valve only does one thing.. so you need minimum 2 valves to lift and fill.. 4 valve set up is front and back, and it sucks with the air transfer that makes it sway really bad. ideal setup for a truck is 6 valves. front left fill/dump. front right fill/dump, and rear fill/dump. When you raise the truck, level the front and the rear will follow. easier and simpler than an 8 valve.

DLOE Valves ; I believe it's like a switch, you move it up it does one thing, move it down it does another .
Can anyone clarify ? Link to the dloe valves http://dloesvalves.webstarts.com |

Re: Manual valve , TWO valve setup . ?s
that is only the switch.. The switch is a 3 position momentary, most people run a single valve to do each function. (ie fill/dump) they make 3 way valves that are 2 in 1. but not the most reliable.. 1 single valve only does one function..

Re: Manual valve , TWO valve setup . ?s
Manual valves do 2 functions (fill & dump) . 4 valves and 2 gauges are all you need to control all 4 corners independently
