I know this is a big no no and I will ketch some flack but a neighbor of mine is restoring his dad's old f**d and I was wondering if there is a similar message board to this one for people that like those sorts of things.

I'm sure there is, but I'm certainly not going to post a link lest someone think I had some dark skeleton in my closet. Wait...I did! I liked the old Fords! I still like a well done old Ford coupe hot rod. I had two '33 Ford pickups with flathead engines and they were the sweetest sounding engines around in their day.
As for your neighbor, "Google" may be his best friend. (Jalopy Journal comes to mind too, there's bound to be some good links there. Just sayin'.)

I wasn't being sarcastic. I was just stating facts... my opening shot was apparently a bad attempt at humor. I like old Fords, and I had a lot of them, but now I like my C20 better.
Being on a Chevy site, it's hard to quote chapter and verse of a Ford site hence the reference to Google.
You're not really asking us to look it up for you are you?

Ok, I just Googled Ford Truck Forum and there are many. Before I clicked to search I had suggestions for Ford Truck forums of all sorts, such as 7.3, F350, etc.

Fomoco and Mopar made a few I like. I just like GM stuff better and that's what I chose to own

Hard to help if we have no idea what kind of Ford it is. I post pics of my Ford here all the time. This is the general area so it fits. There is also an area here for alternate tinkering's. Lots of Fords in there.

I think most of the people here can appreciate most any old car or truck.

Way to much silliness above. Fords rock, grew up with them. I know a bunch of members who own and love them as well. SO lets start over. Let them know what it is and they can likely help you out.

It never hurts to ask. It's easy to search for forums, but it's hard to know from a google search which forums are good.

This one for example, is a very active forum for all body style trucks, but the name implies it's only 67-72. A person with an AD or Task Force truck might over look this site in a google search and not know what they are missing.

I'd like to find a classic Mustang forum with the kind of detailed body work threads you see on camaros.net. Internet searches have done me no good.

I agree. It took me a while too before I realized there's (alot) more in here than just 67-72. If I remember correct, I clicked a link or followed a recommendation on The H.A.M.B.

I doubt you'll find one as good as this for fords. Most ford guys are in a bad mood from just owning them so you're bound to be treated like a red headed step child.

I fell upon this board many moons ago just by searching Internet for 1968 GMC

Maybe hang out at a car or truck show and ask guys who own them if they know of a board

I have a 65 Mustang and 67 Firebird as well as the C10 (bird is a rusty pile of parts right now).

Thank you for all the responses. I am sorry for my lat post I was a little frustrated. It is a Ford pickup. I don't know the make. It is the smaller size truck like a Ranger and I am guessing that it is from the 70's. It is the on with the little hooks along the outside of the bed under the bed rails.

Ahhhh, the Ford Courier (actually a rebadged Mazda, like the LUV was a rebadged Isuzu for GM). Man, I haven't seen a Courier in a LOOOOONG time! Neat looking trucks.

Can't help with a forum, but this should be the truck he has?

No worries from here.
Probably one of the hardest things about forums on any site is determining the writers intent when he/she posted because you can't see their face or hear their tone of voice. Even though they seem pretty cartoon-ish, the emocons/icons/smilies, whatever you want to call them are integral to avoid a misunderstanding, and help to disarm an otherwise caustic remark.
I hope the replies that have been posted help your neighbor's project along.

I like those little trucks ... I had an early 70s Luv for quite awhile, fun little ride. Also had a small Toyota pick up ... 322000 miles on that baby.

Had a small Mazda too, didnt quite the 300k mark before it started oozing too much oil for my tastes.

Back when I was building/running my Ford hot rods, I was a member of The H.A.M.B. Still am I guess, although I haven't dropped in there for years except for the classifieds. There's some pretty cool old iron still circulating around.

My son has owned a 2wd '98 Ranger Flareside 4cyl/5spd that just keeps on ticking for the past 6 years. He has big pre-runner build plans for it. There is a large following on those and plenty of site specific to those. Not sure if any branch out to cover their predecessors the way this site does fr LUVs. I found www.fordcouriercollector.com , which I'd imaging would be pretty serious on those little haulers. Check it out. I hope it turns out good for you

I just like to stick with one thing and stay with GM for the same reasons I went with them in the first place. Some Fords are ok, but I don't want to own one.

Heck, I spent about 10 min at the gas station Tuesday looking over a 67 Fairlane GTX, 390, black w/ red accents, didn't feel bad about it a bit. There's nice looking cars out there from more makers than just GM.
