Highlander

Has anyone ever located a source of the original highlander plaid upholstery cloth? I am looking for the green plaid version for my '72 C10 Highlander.

I am glad to hear others are looking for it too. I think that I will take an e-pic and try to circulate it to some suppliers to see if I get a response. Send me any potential e-mail addresses or links and I will give them a try. Brian

Classic Ind has the seat kits like everyone else. I've been looking too. I want to redo my highbacks in the same pattern as the original lowbacks. All I need is few yards of the cloth for the center inserts.

Try SMS auto fabrics, they just made a complete 100% correct interior for my 1960 Chevrolet Brookwood wagon. It wasn't cheap, but it was correct. They have a web site but I don't know how to link you there. Good luck, Joe

SMS sent me a sample of the green plaid and it was a perfect match. I am not sure if they have the other three colors. CARS, Inc. has 3 yards of the gray plaid for $95/yard. They want $85 per yard and they are located in Portland, OR. I am thinking about purchasing reproduction houndstooth pattern bench upholstery for a Cheyenne model and have a local shop sew in the highlander fabric. Do the repro sets have the scrolling embossed in the center vinyl like the originals? Any suggestions on suppliers? Brian
