Headlight problems

I'm working on 64 gmc with the 4 headlights and I'm wanting to swap to headlights that are not sealed I've got a new American auto wire wiring harness the two outside lights are fine they are 3 prong sockets but the two inside lights are 2 prong and I'm can't seem to find a 2 prong bulb hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction thanks

Re: Headlight problems

2 prong bulbs are the "high beam" bulbs. Napa carries them under part number LMP H5001 for the halogen item. The low beam number is LMP H5006.

You're actually better off going to H4 E-Code lamps such as the Hella H5006A kit for low beam bulbs. The problem with the Halogen (sealed beam) headlamps is they burn out faster than anything else on the market.

Yes you are correct I want to switch to something like the E-code but something with a little clearer glass the bulbs are where I'm having a problem the 5006a is fine in the low beams cause that bulb has a 3 prong connecter but on the high beam lights my plug is only 2 prong so I would need a bulb that's 2 prong and the only thing I seem to find is a h1 bulb it is a high beam bulb but only has 1 prong I hope this makes sense I have s total of 4 headlights
