How Many Gallons?

Hey Guys,

Does a stock, behind the seat, 1959 fleetside 1/2 ton gas tank hold 17 or 20 gallons of gas? Or is it less? Did a search, but only found lots of threads about relocating a tank.

Thanks
Tod

Re: How Many Gallons?

I have a west coast built 57 3100, the most I've ever gotten in it is about 16.5 even after running out of gas completely.

Re: How Many Gallons?

Eh... Maybe production methods weren't that exact. I had a 17 gal that takes 17.5 to fill.
