Is this bad? Heater hoses
My truck has not been started in about a year. I got it started today after changing the oil and getting some new gas in it. When I went under to drain the oil I noticed that it was leaking antifreeze. Upon closer observation I notited that the heater lines were "sweating" It is 35 degrees and they were sweating.

Oh I forgot to mention the radiator is about 5 inches low on fluid.

These older trucks that don't have closed cooling system with an expansion container will seek a lower level of coolant in the radiator, generaly a few inches below the cap. This is normal. The "sweating antifreeze" hoses is not. Have you snugged up on the clamps on each end? I'm thinking the coolant is weeping past the clamps and running down the hoses (in a very slight amount, but noticible).

I would say if you have a doubt....replace it....
For the cost, it good preventative medicine....

I've seen this and always solve it with new heater hose.

Thanks guys, I was just wondering if something happened to the antifreeze because it sat there for a year. I will replace the hoses, it is only a couple of bucks.

I mean how much is hose? very cheap, replace it, or they'll blow on you when you are in the middle of nowhere and it's cold out

It sounds like the hose has gone porous, just replace it.
