My 1953 Chevy Truck
Just finished my 1953 truck. Part 1 photos are included. Part 2 to follow. 350 Chevy engine is a 4 bolt main from a 1979 Chevy truck. It has been rebuilt and has a mild cam. Sounds great. 350 Turbo transmission. 1971 Camaro differential. HID Xenon headlights with dual parking /front turn signal LED lights and rear LED brake/turn signal lights.

My 1953 Chevy Truck Part 3
More photos. I used door panels, ceiling panel, and rear panels from Rod Doors. They covered beautifully and fit perfectly. I built the console from wood.

My 1953 Chevy Truck Part 4
More photos. Mustang II with power Rack and Pinion steering, Vintage Air plus Vintage Air Serpentine Belt System. 4 Link Rear Suspension. White Oak bed. I am proud of this because we made it. I used Sikkens natural matte finish as the wood preservative. Turbo mufflers with the tail pipes ending behind the rear tires. A local company did this and he did an excellent job of routing the pipes through the rear suspension system.

Re: My 1953 Chevy Truck
Thanks guys for the compliments. It was a 4 year labor of love. A friend and I spent almost every Sat. working on it. It took us a year longer than we planned on because of the paint and body shop friends who worked on it between insurance jobs. We knew this was going to happen going in. The upholstery guy was slow as well. But in the end they did an outstanding job and I am very happy with their work. The exterior color is a 2005-2006 Toyota color. 8P4 Indigo Ink Blue Pearl The interior is a Toyota exterior color as well. 1E9 Galactic Gray Mica. I looked at a GM color for the interior but do not remember why we went with the Toyota color. The GM color was WA805K Dark Spiral Gray Metallic.
