Last year for 3 on the tree?

What year did squares stop coming with a three on the tree? I'm pretty excited theres on local to me for a good deal an 85 with a 4.3 and a 3 speed manual I can pick up for cheap as a good parts truck I'm mostly just interested in driving it for the sake that I've never driven a three on the tree.

Re: Last year for 3 on the tree?

At least through '87 for sure. That was my "Plan B" when my overdrive trans was stop ordered.

I suspect that was the last year since it was the last year for the 1/2 ton pickup versions, which would be the only configuration in which the TOTT was offered.

Re: Last year for 3 on the tree?

Careful of that 1-2 shift till you snug up the column.
If the column is a little sloppy you can actually leave it in 1st and shift into 2nd too...
