Custom valve covers

A few coats of Chevy engine red, masked for pinstriping and then a couple coats of black. Scuffed and ready for clearcoat. I used VHT high heat primer and Dupli-Color engine enamel.

Re: Custom valve covers

those came out great! That was very creative of you. You just inspired me to do a set for a GMC, since the great original GM truck is so overlooked by the aftermarket

Re: Custom valve covers

Thanks guys :-)

I have discovered the merits of 3M 218 fine line tape for paint masking. Use it if you can :-)

You can find it here on Amazon

Nice job. The black actually looks raised in the photos.

Thanks! The black is a bit raised, from paint buildup. There are a lot of flaws if you look closely, but I'm happy with the way they came out. Red makes things go faster, right?
