Gas Pedal Options
Curious if anyone has had to come up with a different way to run the throttle pedal. My stock pedal on the GMC, which I assume is the same on the Chevys, is too far toward the passenger side for my engine swap. A cable setup would be the ideal. Is there a cable setup that can be found at an average junkyard that works with fabrication? Our junkyards don't have any 60-66 and almost no 67+ but usually can find some 80's GM. Thanks in advance.

Re: Gas Pedal Options
Thank you. I saw that when I did a search but unfortunately haven't seen a 71-72 in any junkyard (probably a good thing!).

Re: Gas Pedal Options
No problem !
I went with a used "spoon " type pedal and a cable /bracket from then Kragans now O'rileys I used a pedal out of a F150 on my old 53 wagon that worked fine. You can try going to pick a pull and see what you can find too

Re: Gas Pedal Options
I don't think you would absolutely have to use a pedal assembly form a '71-'72. I don't see why an assembly from a '73-'87 wouldn't work. It looks nearly the same as the '71-'72.

Re: Gas Pedal Options
Try A late 80's or early 90's gas pedal I found one at a swap meet for 5$ and worked perfectly! aka Throttle body type with cable.
Mark...

Re: Gas Pedal Options
Lokar makes one that will fit as well as the 70's model gas pedal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lokar-XBAG-6...JVchWH&vxp=mtr
They also make the same unit not black. But I think I will be using the black one. I have a 72 gas pedal to use but I'm not at home for a few months.
