WTB 6 lug drum bare spindle
I have a 68 g20 van which is 6 lug and am trying to see if any of the c10 disc to drum brake parts will interchange with the van. I am looking for a 67-70 6 lug drum brake spindle. I don't need the hub just a bare spindle. maybe someone has one in there scrap pile. it doesn't need to be perfect. I just need it to compare measurements between my van and the truck one.

Do you need one in hand or just the measurements from one? I have a couple laying around. I can send you whatever measurements you may need.

Re: WTB 6 lug drum bare spindle
I could use the spindle only. I don't need the drum or any brake parts or the hub just the spindle or knuckle as some call it. its only for a comparison use.

Re: WTB 6 lug drum bare spindle
no in the 67-70 chevy flat nose vans they introduced a g20 which was a 6 lug. it wasn't until 71 and up that a g20 was 8 lug. the 67-70 were still straight axle kingpin up front.

Re: WTB 6 lug drum bare spindle
If I am not mistaken the G series vans ran a I-beam type axle. The pickup spindles of the same year will be totally different ( A arm type spindle) . You might want to compare the 55-59 I beam type spindles.

Re: WTB 6 lug drum bare spindle
that may be another option, but I am just looking for the size and orientation of the bearings and the bolt pattern for the backing plate. I want to see if a 6 lug c10 disc brake conversion bracket will mount to my spindle.
