upper tail gate trim
Hello all! Hopefully someone can instruct me on how the upper tailgate trim fits together. does the center trim piece fit on top of both outer trim pieces or are they supposed to have the center trim piece inserted into the ends where they meet? I can't find a really clear picture showing the orientation of how they fit together.
Thanks! Ben Smith |

Re: upper tail gate trim
Can't answer all your questions but I do know to make sure you open the tailgate and remove the nuts that fasten the very outer ends of the upper trim (on the inner side of the tailgate).
I believe that the rest of the fasteners are best removed using one of those nylon trim remover tools and a very small pick. You lift the trim slightly and slide the point of the pick behind the trim to catch the end if the spring wire and allow it to unhook it from the well in the trim. Once you see one you can do the rest... |

Re: upper tail gate trim
I seen another post today that said the center piece goes on top of the two outer pieces, can someone please show me a good photo of how it looks installed?
Thanks! Ben |

Center piece goes on first and the outer two overlap it

Re: upper tail gate trim
If it's counterpart, it won't fit worth a darn. I threw mine in the trash can it fit so poorly. I hate counterpart.
