Re: 70 suburban build

Wow! You dont mess around. Nice work! Just curious if you have any seat install pics? I installed '04 Silverado seats in my '67 and they sit a little high. I built a bracket to utilize the factory seat holes out of 1x3 tubing. Im thinking about redoing though.

I got a little time with the suburban today and got the tank modified for the fuel pump and some paint on the fire wall.

A little progress today on the burb shortened the FP to fit the tank and got it in the tank and tank installed in the frame. I also modified the new tank straps to fit like the originals. it s getting close to starting!

I spent most most of Saturday trying to get the brakes bled on it, only to find the new master cylinder was bad. replaced it sunday and had brakes in 1/2 hour.also started the rust repair on the right wheel house.

Re: 70 suburban build

Why did you recess the sending unit into the tank that low ? Was the 2001 module assembly not deep enough to reach he bottom of the tank ?

Re: 70 suburban build

I am amazed at how you can get so much done in so little time. Your work ethic is to be greatly admired. Keep up the great work. Is that a 64 Bonniville taillight I see in the garage?

The body is only 1" above the tank ,so I recessed it to clear the floor.
