Question GMC k1500 86' - Oil pan question

Ok i know its leakin real bad because i stoped at maverick for like 10 minutes and i had size of a baseball around spalt of the ground right under my oil pan.

How easy is it to remove an oil pan? And does it have a gasket of any kind?

Keep in mind my oil pan is like 3ft in the air..

How would i go about taking it off? Just drain the oil and what else?

Any help is needed.

And does anyone have a link to maybe a new oil pan?

Does anyone know the torque specifications on the 16 bolts?

And is it really critical or can i just wing it? I got rubber gaskets for it to replace the cork one.

My Chilton manual says to tighten the bolts to 100 inch lbs and the nuts to 200 inch lbs If you've got an oil pan baffle (peice inside that holds the oil pump up or something), then you are suppost to torque them to 26 foot lbs

Make sure you do the proper inch lbs or foot lbs, Its a good idea to follow these torque specifications as then you know you won't get an oil leak.

Also, you should really get that thing a dust sheild to protect the fly wheel and clutch stuff from small rocks and such

Here is a small diagram to show you where the baffle is...

Get the Fel-Pro Permadry plus gasket. They are more expensive than normal gaskets but are reusable, prevent over tigntening of the bolts, and require no gasket sealent. It's worth it.
