Frame quesition
are the 1947-1954 3100 truck frames all the same? i have a 1949 pickup with a scabbed frame, and i have a chance to get a nice stock 1954 frame. will it work?

47-53 are interchangeable 54-55 are different

Isn't the difference that the 54 rear frame rails are flatter than the 47 - 53 and the rest is the same?

It looks like the 49 bed should bolt right on the 54 frame.

As mentioned, 54/55 frames are different and don't kick up as high over the rear axle to allow for a lower bed floor. You can easily put a 47-53 bed on a 54/55. You can go the other way but will require work to the bedfloor.
