'04 vs '06 Chevy Grille interchange
Good morning -
Anybody know for sure if an '06 accessory grille will fit an '04 (Chevy)? The parts book shows '03-'04 and '06-07 but I'm not sure if those are just styling differences or if attachments and fitment are affected. The LMC catalog shows a similar breakdown. Thanks in advance - K

Answered my own question, I think:
Compare the hood edge and upper part of the grille in these two photos. I don't think they will interchange. K ('06 on the left; '04 on the right)

An 06 Grille will not fit in 03-05 Hood.
You can use an 06 hood with the earlier grille it just looks a little funny... The parts are just cosmetic styling changes. |

Keith, the chrome grille pictured will work 03 -05. And on top of that, they look real good.

i recently did this conversion. the headlights and markerlights are the same. the grill and the end inserts to the grill are different. the hood has to be changed to use the 06-07classic grill. i updated my 04 to the 06-07 look. it looks nice.

first is my stock 2004 1500 Avalanche/Silverado. second is same truck with 2006 1500 hood, grill and painted bumper cap. last is beauty shot of the truck with wheels, tires, lift, and fender flares just because
