1 ton duallie diff bracket needed.

My 1 ton broke an ear off this bracket that fits under the eaton style diff. Could use one ... I can get one in the spring whn stuff thaws.... but figured I'd ask about one here. My one ton which is not in this pic...has leaf rear suspension and is a duallie... with the H072 rear diff with the optional spring kit.

hi I hate that when that happens
I finley found one for mine
then went back and got the other
for a spare if you havent got one yet let
me know and I will get it off to you
also some books list the torque
wrong for these
cant remember but I think one of my books say 85 or 95 and the other says 130
followed the wrong book the first time and broke the first one
well let me know if you still need it
I know how that can be

Change them out for the ones that are used on a 14 bolt. I kept breaking mine, but not any more

do the ones on the 14 bolt go on the bottem like these or
are they on the top of the springs

Seems that style break a bit to often for me... I had one that style break on my 1/2 ton 4x4 also. I dont think its the same size though. I had another one for my 4x4 though and I put it on already.

late model

Try a pair out of a late model chevy pickup. They are stronger and dont break.

I wonder if you could make a new one out of some 1/4 inch steel. Hammer it round over the back axle, and bend the ears flat again and drill some holes. I bet 1/4 inch isnt very easy to manage though.

I had one break on my one ton a while back and took it over to the shop and had them weld it. After a sound wave inspection proved they managed to get 100% weld penatration I put it back on and its worked great ever since.

I tried having mine welded
but it busted at about 10 lbs. less then full torque
did they have to weld it a couple times to get the
penetration right.
On the one I tried
we had to ground off the inner part of the weld
to fit over the housing.

I took it to my work and had a proffessional welder weld it. I really didn't see what he did, but he had several different industrial welding machines available. Mine torqued up to 85 ft lbs nicely. Only drove it a couple of times afterwords, since it is to expensive to keep it registered for the type of work truck I need. I don't need the full 1-ton. I only need a half ton work truck to haul lumber and stuff in. So now I'm trying to trade it away for a short wheel base truck frame with a decent cab and OK bed. don't need an engine or tranny I've got plenty of those. So if anybody out there has what I need let me know! I wouldn't have thought it would be hard to trade a running truck that doesn't look the best for nothing more than a parts truck!

I had mine off about a yr. ago,my u-bolts rusted in two those plates hold all kinds of crap sand,salt.dirt & that mix rusted it right above the nut.When one broke it tore off the brake line!My truck is a 80 model but the plate looks the same.They might fit if your axle dia. is the same.Mine has a 14 bolt.
