New to the board. I figured I would introduce myself, and share a few pics of the new project.

Still researching, to find out what exactly the previous owner(s) did to this thing- aside from the bumper guides, bed rails, etc. I found the boards VIN decoder quite helpful in determining the vehicles origin, and factory setup. That being said, it's not in horrible shape, as a starting point. This is really just something for myself, my teenage son, and my pop to work on together.

Current basic plans:
  • 3/5" or 4/6" drop- we do live in the city, so we have to be careful how low we do go, as roads here are downright awful. I'm leaning towards the 4/6".
  • Upgraded column- I'm 6'3, and my son is 6'4. At current, our legs both hit the stock wheel even when simply transferring from gas to brake.
  • Disc brakes all around
  • Wood Bed
  • Relocate gas tank to rear under-bed

Still debating on paint schemes, wheel/tire combo, engine/trans, etc. The SBC engine runs (roughly), so we'll just start with some basic tests, to see if it is worth sticking with/rebuilding.

Sure, and thanks! I'll have to take a new one. Just got a new phone, and that must've been on the old one, as I don't have it in my library.

I have been trying to figure out the paint. As you can see under the primer, there is yellow. I couldn't decipher the paint code that I found on the glovebox sticker (4550AD). Maybe you guys can help once I upload that pic.

I believe these came only in a yellow/white two-tone, right? Not a solid yellow?

67's came in solid yellow too, but you have the cab paint divider trim so it would have been two tone white/yellow (assuming it was originally yellow).

Yup. Your truck would have been two tone. 550 (4550AD) would have been 81503 and 8290. Yellow and Ivory. Cool truck BTW!

Re: 67 c10

Thank you for that. Starting to get a clearer picture.

One thing I'm confused by are the mirrors. Those weren't the mirrors for this style, were they? I thought they were for the C20 & K series?

Nonetheless, I will be removing those and going with some simple, one-arm, door mirrors.
