66 gmc dash in a chevy

Okay. Im new here but I was at the junkyard today and saw an unmolested gmc dash. Thought about putting it in a chevy cab. Should be a pretty straight forward bolt in process right?

There are spot welds all the way along the bottom of the windshield frame. Then bolts under the dash on both sides.

Okay. How many spot welds would you say. I have a 63 chevy and I kind of like the hump dash and gmc still retained the gauge hump.

Around 30. The hardest ones to get to are the ones on the sides.

Here is a thread about it.

Re: 66 gmc dash in a chevy

So it's probably not worth it then. My chevy has a decent dash in it so I'll just leave it.
