Lowering question

Hi guys, this is my first post on this board because I just got my first square body and i dont know anything about it. A friend has a drop spindle kit for a 94 can anyone tell me if i can use it on my 87 or are they different. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Short answer: They are not the same. In fact there are two different ones for your 87 depending on your front rotor thickness.

There are 2 different spindle types for square body trucks (lt duty/HD).
There are 2 different spindle types for 88-98 trucks (lt duty/HD) & the 88-98 spindles are not a direct swap.

measure your brake rotors for thickness. 1 inch or 1.25. Order the spindles that are specific for either thickness.
