Electrical Assistance Please!

First of all I am posting here because there is more traffic across this board.

I have a 66 suburban

I have two issues I am trying to solve. Well, with the truck anyways

The first may or may not be specific to a suburban. The license plate light is out and I can not find out how to remove the globe so that I can get at the bulb. I remove the mounting screw and looked it all over for sign of how the globe can be removed. I tried to also just twist off the globe but it doesn't want to twist much at all. The is in pretty good condition so I don't want to be to rough with it.

The second is my rear drivers blinker. All the tail light filaments work as they should accept this one. I have verified voltage at harness connection below the back end and at the light bulb housing and at the little spring loaded connection in the bulb mount. I know the ground is good because the running light filament is fine. My initial though was that the wire may have a high resistance connection, so i rigged a wire from the harness connection below the back end up to the taillight housing to rule out that section of wire. I had the same issue, an oscillating voltage from about 4-9(engine off) volts but the light bulb filament would not work. For ****s and giggles I put my wire rig to the other filament(running light) and it did not work either. I did ohm check the bulb filament to make sure they were good too. Right now, I am thinking that there is some sort of high resistance connection upstream of the under bed harness connection somewhere. But I wanted to know if someone with more electrical issues experience could impart some knowledge on me.

Thanks in advance.

The passenger side does and the driver side does not.

Re: Electrical Assistance Please!

Could be a loose or broken wire under the dash. The only thing you can do now is trace the wire under the dash to see if you can find anything.

You'll have to start checking for power in that wire, working your way back to the turn signal switch. It could also be in the turn signal switch.

Is this a clam shell or barn door sub?

Re: Electrical Assistance Please!

Remove the entire light bucket and it should come apart a bit easier. The sheet metal is helping hold everything together.
