Should I or shouldn't I? ZZ4 350 vs 468 BBC :|

Here is the question, in my '72 I've got a ZZ4 350 matched with a Turbo 400 that's a great motor/Trans for me, it isn't blowing the doors off, but it's got jam and I'm not underpowered by any means. The other day I came across a '68 that needs a fair amount of finishing work done to it but it's got some nice parts on it, disc breaks, 4/6 drop, but here is the kicker, it's got a fresh build 468 big block with a weiand 177 supercharger with a turbo 400 2800 stall converter and shift kit, a monster power train! the whole package is up for sale for $9,000obo thinking if a guy worked could possibly snipe it for $7,500. Now do I buy this '68, swap the drive train, sell the '68 body and the ZZ4 drive train seperatly and put that blown big block in my '72? Or just be happy with what I have?

Does the blown big block fit under the hood without cutting? If so I would go for it!

'68 comes with a primed cowl induction hood, I could easily get paint matched for not a whole lot of money.

My wife is for sure raging right now and doesn't know why, I think I could very easily come out even money wise or even up some cash in the end, would just be my labour to pull parts and swap. Always lots of people looking for a good ZZ4 motor and turbo 400 combo.

ZZ4
Simply cause its enough and weighs less. I'd rather it handle better than take off in a straight line. Unless you tow with your truck and need to burn tires while doing it

I think you answered your own question.

Or dare to be different, put twin turbochargers on the small block and blow away the blown big block.

You don't need twins on an SBC to do that

How do you use your truck? Will that BB have good enough manners for a daily driven vehicle?

Logic, dam you logic, the BBC is probably not going to have the street manners that I would like, truck is a toy but in a sense that I can use it as a summer daily driver/Sunday crusier with the kids and wife, I am going to try and see if I can pry the supercharger, fuel system, and electronic ignition off him for a decent price and get some whin out of the SBC ZZ4. I'll post up how it turns out if I can get him to part it out.
