Paint question for you guys???
I am getting ready to paint the engine compartment. I am thinking about useing acyrlic enamel, semi gloss black. When I cleaned up my engine carpment to get ready for this, I noticed that the factory paint really don't stick good to the cross member and frame rails. I want this to come out right, What is a good paint to do this with? Is it going to be ok to go with the paint that I am talking about? ( acyrlic enamel ) I have striped every thing off the fire wall except for my A/C box, I want to paint this as well.
So you guys please let me know, cause I am almost ready to start spraying. Thanks

Centari. It's DuPont's brand of acrylic enamel. You can use any paint on your engine comartment that you'd use on the rest of the truck. I always use basecoat/ clearcoat urethane myself, but I have used acrylic enamel too.
For the frame and other non-sheetmetal stuff, POR15 is the way to go. It's cheaper than car paint and easy to apply. Last forever too.
