I have a nice chrome rear bumper from an 82 that would look great on the back of that truck bud. $75 and it's yours

What did you use to repair the dashpad? Did you paint it?
Got any new dash pics? Thanks.

It turned out .. well. It has since cracked again...but not NEARLY as bad, just thin lines where some seams were but that is because of our cold weather. Do some research on the body filler you choose, and find something that stays flexible and make sure you feather it well beyond the hole you are filling (so it overlaps the good parts of the dash, I didn't do that quite right in places...and that's why it recracked. But for a total of about $20 for all the supplies I have a dash that is 1000x times better than before, I'd definitely do it again, and I'll probably attempt to refix this one and get it perfect. The texture is great though, and it DOES look amazing save for the few thin cracks...but those were more my fault, than the techniques. Last edited by Gibble; 03-01-2004 at 02:54 PM. |

yeah it's just a small bit of surface rust
these aren't the best pics of it, but they are the only ones I have. The bumper is sitting on a rack at home under some snow right now. I could take it out and get some better pics of it if you like

Man, that would look great on the truck...but I don't got any extra $$$ right now
Maybe if you still have it this summer. Right now I just bought the Merc, and am going to buy an Olds 425 Super Rocket ($100!) for the truck, and am going to spend a few bucks on that. Hmm...maybe I should attempt to sell my stang rims for truck funds |

I think this will be installed this weekend...if I get some free time...
All the diamond plate and chrome's going to make me want that bumper even more! And will maybe motivate me to find some money. |
