Thought I'd ask in here as all the project savy peeps use this forum and its not year specific

I've read how to swap NBS rear disk brakes onto the oem axle for OBS trucks. Works great for 4wd's as they are already 6 bolt wheels like all NBS trucks. I have a 2wd, with the 5x5 bolt pattern. Can a 6x5.5 bolt pattern rotor be drilled with the 5x5 bolt pattern so I can put rear disks on my truck? Without the machining of the rotors my disk swap will only run about $400, huge saving vs aftermarket options.

If you lay it out I think you will find that a couple of the holes end up part way in other holes. Ran into this issue the first time I wanted to redrill 73 to 87 rotors to 6 lug for my 65. This is not a problem on a milling machine using an end mill to do the holes. The cost to have them drilled may impact your savings and if you need to replace a rotor the time and cost needs to be planned for. I assume that the rotors are hub centered.

Yes I've spoken with him and nothing for 88-98's.
