What is this?
Can anyone identify this device, explain what it's for and tell me if I need to keep it? It has a vacuum hose that runs to a fitting screwed into the top of the intake manifold right behind the carb.

Think it's a vacuum canister for your vent door in the HVAC box.

It is the vacuum canister used to operate your heat system. It operates the ducts when you change from heater to vents to the defrost. You need this
